Your Tummy’s Saviour Anytime You Need

Ok, some of you might ask.. why SOHO while plenty of chic restaurants are around the area. Especially it is situated only few steps away from the famous Ultimo, Rumours, the delicious Greek resto Mykonos and many more. Why do I put SOHO first among the more interesting places around it?

Before you ask me more questions, let me ask you few questions first..How many times did you suddenly feel hungry in the middle of the night and unfortunately most of the restaurants especially around Seminyak area were already closed? I know there are plenty of restaurants around Kuta that are open until really late.. but some of you might think it’s too much hustle with its random crowds especially in the middle of the night -You might think differently but well, as a person who would rather be in a quite place *maybe because I am already living here*, I choose not to go around the crowded and packed places like Kuta or Legian unless meeting up with some friends who visit Bali or there is important thing to do there.

Another question is, have you ever checked out your kitchen and you found nothing? most probably sometimes you are too busy to get some ingredients to cook or forget to buy some foods to be kept. How many times did it happen?

Or maybe very early in the morning you got to go for work or for a meeting which demand you to arrive earlier than usual? While the only ones that already open is mini market express or 24h junkfood places? And sometimes not enough for you to only have a bread, fried stuff and a cup of coffee?

Well, I am not sure about you but that what happened to me for several of time. Got hungry, couldn’t sleep, instant noodles that are left won’t satistify me, very early proper breakfast in need.

So this is the answer why I am writing about SOHO. The 24 Hours Diner which will keep opening until the last day of your life! lol *except on the Balinese Silence Day* Not only that, but also their delicious foods! Options of fresh salads, burgers, pastas, Indonesians and many more. The service is two thumbs up..You will see many smiley faces here! And they bring the foods and drinks really fast!

When you are there, you should try their Long Island Iced Tea. I am telling you the one that they have is amazing too. Just don’t forget to say “strong one” so there you go.. A perfect taste of Long Island Iced Tea which won’t leave you hangover with the bad feeling on the following day.

Besides that, have you ever heard about Bloody Mary? Yes, the unique taste of cocktail originally from Paris which consists of vodka, tomato, carrot, tabasco, salt and pepper! They have it too and if you think yourself is an adventurous one, you should try it for a change!

So now you know why I picked SOHO 24H Diner rite? ‘coz the opening hour is totally fulfill your needs and the options of the food are also not bad at all! So, enjoy..

“Eat Fresh Live Well” are the words that you will see once you step your feet on this lovely Watercress Bali . As the motto that is shown above, you can imagine what kind of the food & beverages they offer. Owned by a French guy who grew up in Australia, Watercress provides a simple and comfy restaurant & cafe with the casual ambience that will make you wanna stay for the whole day. At the dinner time, they transform to be a semi fine-dining restaurant athmosphere with some delectable dinner menu offered that you shouldn’t miss as well.

Situated in peaceful place, Batu Belig Seminyak, Watercress is a perfect place for you to have either a coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Accompanied by the chillin’ songs like Just Breath by Telepopmusic, Porcelain by Moby, Sheryl Crow’s songs collection, my favorite song Hold On We’re Going Home by Drake and so on.. It will make you feel like there is no need to use the earphone to listen to your own songs while doing some of your works here!

They offer various kind of salads, croissant, sandwiches, vegan menu, Indonesians, some grilled meats and seafood, burger options, plenty of interesting mixed healthy juices, smoothies, latte and many more that you don’t want to miss..

My biggest highlight, besides the ambience, in this restaurant is the service. Just amazing! The people are friendly, from the owner to all the staff.. The waitresses are always stand by for you whenever you need anything.. For me personally, let’s say, even if I was in the most fancy restaurant but if the service is poor, it will make me totally off and will never come back. But here..the service is fantastic. I believe you will love it too..

With its semi-open style area overlooking the lush garden at the back, it makes me really in love with the atmosphere.. I went there some times either for the breakfast or just hanging out and enjoying their latte.. And yes, it is also a perfect place for me whenever I need some inspiration in doing my writing works.. (as a PR practitioner in the company, 65% of my work is all about writing).

Yes! Here is my favorite seat, in the corner right next to the window overlooking the lush green garden.. Sit and feel the breeze from the outside.. Simply perfect!

About 400m Away from Old Man’s Beach and Here You Are!

“Been passing by this place a lot when going surfing in Old Man’s and fell in love with its comfort..”

Yes as you are able to see the name, it is Roti Canai Street Kitchen & Dining Room. Located in the peaceful Canggu, the same way to go to Batu Bolong Beach/ Old Man’s. They offers delicious skewers, all kind of delectable canai (reminds me of KL so much) and various kind of Teh Tarik (the Malaysian term for milk tea). There is a surf shop above it as well called Flow & Yonder. Overall, this place is definitely worth for a visit!

And a few step upstairs, here is Flow & Yonder. A surf shop which offers some cute and nice stuff that you might don’t find that easy around Bali, such as few brands of bikinis and accessories made by some expat designers who live in Bali..

Look at this view! Stunning, isn’t it? Very calm and peaceful. And Yes, the scooter is mine! You have no idea how long it took me to finally able to ride a scooter. Over 5 months I think.. Brought my car all the way from Jakarta to here ‘coz I was hopeless that time about riding a bike.. but since then.. I prefer to go anywhere by this scooter.. Feeling scared riding it? Not at all! ‘Coz this is how we roll in Bali!

A Piece of Paradise on Top of the Cliff on Bali’s Southern Shore

Those are the first things which come up on my mind whenever I imagine about one of my most favorite places in Bali, Single Fin, Uluwatu!♡

Situated in the incredible location, more than you could ever imagine, right on one of the best Bali cliffs with unobstructed view overlooking the Indian Ocean and the view of the surfers catching some waves from far away. This place is perfect for all the nature lover around the globe! And oh yea, you can surf down there also on Blue Point beach if you consider yourself as a pro surfer. The waves will be perfect for you. But if you are not, I don’t suggest you to surf there at all!

*For the beginner surfer like me, no worries, I will show you some beaches with the friendly waves around Bali in my next blogs! Just be patient 🙂 *

Belongs to an Aussie pro surfer and a Norwegian graphic designer, Single Fin Uluwatu offers a restaurant, cafe, bar and a cool surf shop (they also have the shop in Seminyak too).

If you are in the chilling mood, you should go there on Wednesday. Every Wednesday they have a stunning unplugged performance from sunset til 10pm. And when you are in a party mood, you should come to their Sunday session, for live music and DJ performance from sunset til late.

Check out the magical feeling of Single Fin on the lower ground (another DJ deck with another dance floor), the outdoor area overlooking the stunning Indian Ocean! That area is my favorite one and I think you are going to love it also!

In some occasions, they also open the small gate which connected to the swimming pool of Blue Point Bay Villas and there you go..A pool party with full of exhilaration and fun!

The great thing based on my opinion is, when you visit Single Fin, you don’t have to worry so much about how you look.. Even tho you are totally out of make up, only wearing slippers, short pants and any kind of top..It totally doesn’t matter ‘coz nobody cares anyways! And I think everyone on earth, whoever they are, will look good anyways when they all are happy, aren’t they? Having some drinks, bunch of fun with some lovely friends in this stunning little place is definitely all I need and I believe you will love it too!

A warning for all of us while scuba diving

“Mostly missing female divers were already found” said a colleague just now during the lunch time who is in charge for Nusa Lembongan activities. *but don’t get it wrong, the company who took those divers is NOT us 🙂 *

Going scuba diving is very fun! As an Advance Diver myself, I would love to advise you a little bit; make sure you check the current condition – you can ask the people around first and Mr. Google is quite informative as well, you should book it in the recognized Dive Center who has some professional guides (based on my own experience, the proper Dive Center will advise you where to dive on that day ‘coz they are always updated with the weather and current condition) and please..always listen to what your guide tell you and the last but not least, keep watching and following where your instructor goes especially when you are not familiar with the area at all, even if you are, remember the current might be coming anytime and you never know another unpredictable circumstances down there. That is why, it is really important to be with a professional guide who knows the area by heart while scuba diving.

Let’s say, this case wasn’t everybody’s fault. This fatal accident is a warning for all of us to be more careful when we go scuba diving. If you are not really sure or getting confused to go diving or not because of the unsupportive weather condition, it’s better to postpone it than to regret about it. However, it’s better to miss a chance than miss all the chance in your life because of the psychological trauma if anything happen, rite? Through this blog, I really hope everyone can be saved.. Let’s pray for them..

Inner peace is what everyone craves to have

3V Villa and Gym Center, Kerobokan, in my opinion, it is the best and the one which has the most complete facilities among all 3V in Bali. They have a nice swimming pool, options of yummy foods, and yes they have vegan menu as well!

The best thing is.. it’s only few steps away from my house. In the late afternoon, continued to go to Desa Seni Village & Resort, Canggu, an eco friendly resort designed with the antique wooden materials. This resort complex provides yoga activities too. They always have a free of charge Yoga Class every Sunday at 4pm-5pm. Unfortunately, I was late for the class but however I was still enjoying the tranquil ambience of the area which never fail to impress me.

They also have a small cute shop in the area which selling all the yoga products and also some lovely jewelries. What attract my attention the most is the little cute crystal healing bracelets which offer Crystal of protection which help to bring good luck and protection, Crystal of purity which represent pure heart which bring sincerity, calm, blessing and beauty, and so on.. Interesting.
